A heart-warming story, full of the rhythm and music of Africa, about a little girl who desperately wanted to go and visit her grandmother, Gogo, who was living not too far away in a nearby village. When she was old enough, her parents agreed that she could go by herself, but that she had to be very careful of the sly old crocodile who lived in the river. What Makwelane experienced along the path on her way to Gogo, and how she outwitted the crocodile, makes for exciting reading for little ones as well as parents reading to them.
