Saartjie 11: Saartjie se kliek | Children's Fiction
Bettie Naudé
Saartjie is having a tough time – her mother decides to hold back her pocket money to pay for the groceries she destroyed, she has to defend her younger brother against the older boys and to top it all, the principal catches her as she skips a singing class in order to finish some work she was given as punishment.
Then our heroine reads a story about a group of girls in England who formed a clique and decides that the Three Mosquitoes need a new name and objectives. They will now be known as the Lilies of Lynnekom and launch a secret war against Galpil and his mates. This campaign has disastrous – and funny! – consequences for both parties.
After this the tomboy with the bright blue eyes and pitch-black hair decides that she needs to make up for all her mischief by doing a good deed and bringing sunshine into someone’s life. However, this is easier said than done and may require a great sacrifice on Saartjie’s behalf.
