Tot siens, Tommasino | Children's Fiction
Philip de Vos
Fourteen year old Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is travelling with his father to Italy where they will be received by kings and queens and other very important people – who will be treated to the exceptional talents of the young Wolfgang, the wonderboy. It is in Florence that Wolfgang meets Thomas Linley from Bath, England. Linley, being the same age as Wolfgang and called Tommasino by the locals, is also very talented and the two boys form a friendship that both of them dearly needed. Together they explore the city and for three days have so much fun, that when the time comes for Wolfgang and his father to leave Italy, both friends are heartbroken and sad.
Set against the backdrop of Europe's finest art and music of the time, Philip de Vos portrays the experiences of the young Wolfgang with compassion and humour. A book that will appeal to young and old.
