Trompie 15: Trompie die filmster | Children's Fiction
Topsy Smith
Trompie knows he is in for trouble after having written a maths test. To make things worse he gets up to mischief in the staff room and by the end of the school day he has such a lot of lines to write out as punishment that his gang members will have to help him. But obviously they prefer to go for a swim and our hero feels very sorry for himself.
Kwaggaberg is bustling with activity when a local movie is shot in town. Dawie hopes to land the child lead, seeing that he has read a lot of books on acting and knows exactly how an actor should walk and talk. He challenges Trompie and his other mates to audition for the part as well, thinking that this will be a good laugh, but his plan boomerangs on him.
When the director sets eye on the nonchalant and freckle-faced Trompie he immediately knows he can turn him into a star. But will the unsuspecting film crew survive the pranks of the (in)famous Boksom Gang?
