Saartjie 17: Saartjie se dagboek | Children's Fiction
Bettie Naudé
Saartjie needs extra money and decides to start her very own magazine along with her friends. She plans to do most of the writing herself, seeing that she usually gets top marks for her compositions.
The tomboy’s younger brother kicks a rugby ball into a grumpy old man’s yard and she has to fetch it before the ball is cut into pieces. She meets two old people who are living with a sad secret and immediately decides that she needs to do something to help them. However, in the meantime she also has to deal with two boys having a crush on her at the same time!
In the evenings before going to bed, our heroine writes in her new journal about the events of the day. This habit eventually helps her to bring great happiness in others’ lives.
