The four books (Jonkmanskas, Die hemel help ons, Slagplaas and Weifeling) in this collection of Koos Prinsloo’s works are now in print 25 years after his first book was published in 1982. Prinsloo shifted boundaries with his writing on writing itself, the interlacing of reality and fiction, his own family history, South Africa’s military struggle and homo erotica. He is seen as the foremost exponent of gay prose in Afrikaans. He died in 1994 at the age of 37.
