The story is set in the valley of the Umgeni River and centers around Ravi and his friend Seelan. Seelan is very sad, because somebody or something is destroying his bird-friends’ nests. Ravi and Seelan go to uncle Jay for help and together they think of a plan to catch the thief. This quiant story has a strong message for conservation, friendship and humanity. The last few pages contain questions about the story - which tests the reader’s ability of understanding content and meaning. This makes the book suitable to be used in literacy classes, schools, etc.
