Biographical info
Martie Preller has written numerous children and youth books. These include the Balkie books, Daar’s ’n spook in my kas (There’s a ghost in my wardrobe), Ek is Simon (I am Simon), Droomvangers (Dream catchers) and In die tyd van die Esob (In the time of the Esob). Preller is the recipient of several writing awards, including the Sanlam Youth Prize, the Tienie Holloway Medal, the M.E.R. Prize for children’s literature and the Alba Bouwer prize – to name but a few.
